Another lunch meeting

Denise and I had a planning/coordinating lunch today. It was encouraging to talk about the daily routine we envision on the road and find that we pretty much see things the same way. With just over 5 weeks left, it is coming together wonderfully. Now that we have a vehicle, I can see over the rise to our Leaving Melfort Day.

The next biggest challenge is not to pack too much, but to pack what is necessary. We must trust God to guide us as we select items..."We will demolish over and unnecessay packing, avoiding any pretentious item that sets itself up as needed by God on this adventure. We will take each and every item captive making sure it will serve Christ."

I cannot express how awed I am by the RV...all in equal awe, please say Aye. Todd has earned my "Best Pick of 2007" award for this incredible find. God works through people, and He is seen here working through Todd. Please join me in praying that blessings will increase for him and his family.

Well, that's it for now...over and out,
Diane

Is Denise walking?

That is the question of the day for me. I pray she has a great morning.

Denise and I met for a quick chat yesterday, just going over what's on our hearts and minds about what we should be doing. Both of us feel we should be just buzzing with business, but know that there really isn't much up right now...No van to pack, No presentations looming, Not even time to head out for weeks....Please, are we missing something? "Dear God....just give us wisdom and Your divine guidance"

I am getting that Utz in the pit of my stomach in anticipation....Can we go yet? Are we there yet?

I think I will be driving a truck...a REAL truck today, providing the inspection goes well. I hope somewhere on the road we meet up with a situation in which this skill will be useful. (Yeah, it's just because I want more driving...love that smell of diesel)

Maybe I will go for a walk too....just to get moving.

7 weeks, and 4 days (if you count today)

Diane

7 weeks and 5 days left, Gasp!

Rats...just wrote this post once and Blogger went down. The Blog I wrote was wonderfully witty, and very well written...just joking!

I just came home from our Ladies Bible Study and Simple Steps luncheon. Thanks to all the people that came out, it was tremendous. What a great morning for me personally and spiritually, since I have been away for the last 6 or 7 weeks. Just being with the group was uplifting.

Before I leave, my goal is to have this house organized and, in my most confident moments of fantasie I see the freezer filled with made-ahead suppers. I'm calling it "Operation Clean Sweep". Anyone interested in praying for that with me?

Since I wrote this Blog out once, I feel a little chatted out.

Until next time,
Diane

Today Denise & I met to get down to some details... We have a plan for improving and safeguarding our friendship during 4 1/2 months on the road. I am particularly inspired by the girding (Yes, guiding too!) light... ok, girding statement we worked out this morning.

"To, as sisters in Christ, work to create a God-honoring, mutually beneficial and enjoyable friendship."

And we added these verses, "Galatians 5:22 to 6:5" ( the fruits of the Spirit ) and Phillippians 2:1-4 ( Being like-minded, one in purpose)

We also talked about cresting, logos, and other thoughts regarding promotional, saleable and award type products. This is going to be ongoing...any thoughts out there?

Looking forward to the first conference call Thursday.

The First Blog

How convenient that I was coming to the library just after walking with Denise this morning. She mentioned the website was up and running, so I forced myself (yeah right, to not run) to have a peek.

Very nicely done Scott! Denise was excited that it could be up so fast, I am quite amazed too. One additional comment..."Africa is Hot!"??? More coming soon right?

Well, here I am, hoping to encourage Denise, lend my voice to her cause, and hopefully post somewhat regularly to provide the reader with my epigrammatical point of view as we proceed through this God-assigned adventure.

Walking indoors at the Palace (Home of the Melfort Mustangs), was not as lovely as walking outdoors. I'm not sure how many times we circled the ice in that hour, but I can see why some of the walkers "unwind". Will my shoes wear out on one side if we always circle left?

I am excited to announce Denise and I have scheduled regular meetings to discuss many of the details that are quickly piling up, to formalize our prayer time over this, and to soothe our growing angst. It is approximately 4 months or 120 days before Denise leaves for Ontario to promote the walk there. Ahhhh! Exciting hey?

That's it for today...Please encourage me / us by adding a comment.
